Colonial Armament Analysis:
Angelo Zoli, a previous manufacturer based in Brescia, Italy, went out of business in December 1987. Then, in 1989, the Italian Bank of Brescia took over the company. The shotguns of Angelo Zoli were imported and exclusively distributed by Angelo Zoli USA, which was located in Addison, IL. These shotguns were manufactured between 1985-87. However, many people tend to confuse the shotguns of Angelo and Antonio Zoli, and it can be difficult to determine which manufacturer made a gun marked "A. Zoli". It is important to note that there is no model or name correlation between these companies or trademarks. Additionally, Antonio Zoli does not have parts available for the earlier long arms made by Angelo Zoli.
If you are looking for a shotgun to hunt turkeys, ducks, geese, upland game birds or clay pigeons, you might want to consider the Angelo Zoli Fighter. This is a 12GA break-action over/under shotgun with 2 3/4-inch chambers. It has a 28-inch vent-rib barrel that is blued, with fixed improved modified/improved cylinder choke and ejectors. The wood on this shotgun is checkered on the grip and fore-end, and the stock is equipped with a 14.5-inch length of pull.
